Who is your prime minister or president, who is cleaning your office, who is on the football team, and who drives the tractor? Norms and stereotypes are all around us. This toolkit will make you question your own stereotypes.
Although norms are cultural, we hope that this toolkit will help you explore the norms that exist in your country through images. These can be about age, ethnicity, disability, sex and sexual orientation.
During the creation of this toolkit, SI has had the pleasure to collaborate with the ‘Gender Photographer’, Tomas Gunnarsson, who uses his powerful photography to encourage people to think about more inclusive communication.
About
This toolkit contains a physical exhibition, suggested guest speakers and topics for seminars or workshops, and guidebook material to go with it. These building blocks can be used separately or together. A social media campagin will be added soon!
If you like, SI will help you get in touch with a Swedish speaker/expert on e.g. gender equality, masculine norms, norms and identity, inclusive communication, diversity and democracy etc. (see list below). Contact alumni@si.se for contact details.
