Image Bank Sweden – contemporary images of Sweden
Presenting Sweden abroad? Image Bank Sweden features thousands of quality images and stock videos, all free of charge for you to use – and no registration required. The website offers a curated collection of images from professional photographers. The image bank is a great tool to enhance your story about Sweden.
You can easily find the images you want by browsing the categories or using the search function. You can download them for web, in high or full resolution, or choose to embed it. Image Bank Sweden will continuously be updated with new pictures of Sweden, so hopefully you will find something new every time.
Image Bank Sweden is administered by the Swedish Institute and Visit Sweden. It is a cooperation with Business Sweden and the Swedish Government Offices, including the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. Together all of these organisations are called the Council for the Promotion of Sweden (NSU).
The NSU works to ensure the coordinated and long-term promotion of Sweden abroad. The purpose is to achieve political objectives; promote trade; attract investment, tourists and talent; and encourage cultural and scientific exchange.

Always remember to credit the photographer by clearly stating the photographer’s name plus imagebank.sweden.se in connection with the photo, for example “Credits: Anders Tedeholm / Image Bank Sweden“.
Images or videos from Image Bank Sweden may not be used in Sweden towards a Swedish target group. An exception is the NSU organisations. These organisations are allowed to use the images/videos in their own work – such as publications on their own websites, annual reports, information about the organization, social media, an event etc. Also, if an NSU organisation is the main organiser of an event coordinated with another organisation, it is also permitted to use the images and videos on Image Bank Sweden.
