The common thread of these books? Mysterious deaths that occur in the community of Fjällbacka, investigated by the duo of author Erica Falck and police officer Patrik Hedström.
Läckberg, translated into 40+ languages, probably knows most corners of Fjällbacka as she did in fact grow up here.
📽️ Another Swedish celeb often associated with Fjällbacka is film star ⭐ Ingrid Bergman (1915–1982), who spent many summer holidays in the nearby archipelago.
🎬 And finally, here’s one for the fans of children's author Astrid Lindgren (1907–2002): Kungsklyftan, the ravine cutting through a granite rock in Fjällbacka, was used in the shooting of 'Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter', a film based on Lindgren's book of the same name.
