Meet Storsjöodjuret – Sweden’s own Nessie. 🐍 Said to haunt Lake Storsjön, this serpent-like celebrity has stirred Swedish imaginations for centuries. Trolls are rumoured to have conjured her, kings tried to catch her, and in 1986 she was placed under a county protection order (yes, really!). 📝
The protection didn’t last – the regulation was later revoked – but the legend lives on. Even today, locals and visitors claim to spot her gliding through the water. 🌊
