‘Expedition Art’ exhibition How to use the exhibition This art exhibition consists of video and photography inspired by Arctic expeditions. It is a part of the Swedish Art toolkit .
Expedition Art is a comprehensive exhibition requiring collaboration with a venue that can provide support for art printing, framing, mounting, projection, and public relations. Seminars featuring scientists and artists can be organised in partnership with the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat. At the end of the exhibition period, for copyright protection reasons, all prints must be returned to the Swedish Institute.
The material is under development. More parts will also be added. Final versions will be available in January 2025.
About the exhibition The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat has invited artists to join scientists aboard the icebreaker Oden since 1988. The exhibition is presenting works by six of these artists: Bigert & Bergström, Efva Lilja, Hanna Ljungh, Ida Rödén, Josef Bull, and Karin Alfredsson.
A video projection by Hanna Ljungh is part of the exhibition. Photography by Josef Bull is also a part of the exhibition. {
