About this toolkit In 2024, Sweden will host the Eurovision Song Contest for the 7th time. The Swedish Institute is creating communication material and event ideas for you to use to celebrate this happening! The promotional material is focused on Eurovision. On 6 April it’s also 50 years since ABBA took Europe by storm and won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo. A celebration of this is also included in the toolkit.
Financial support for 2024 Swedish foreign missions can apply for financial support for local production of the toolkit material and some costs surrounding the toolkit activation.

How to use Eurovision 2024 In this toolkit you can find communication material and event ideas to celebrate Eurovision and the ABBA 50 jubilee. The different parts of the toolkit can be used separately or together, depending on the purpose of your event. The toolkit can also be used in connection with our toolkit Swedish Music Moments .
All content of the toolkit is not yet finished, but we are updating this site continuously. Under each section you can find a short list of the content that is still being produced. You can get the latest updates via Sharing Sweden's newsletter. If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up to the newsletter .

Broadcasting rights
The two Semi-Finals and Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest can be watched live:
on a main terrestrial channel in all of the participating countries. Each country can only vote in one of the two Semi-Finals, so participating broadcasters may choose not to broadcast the Semi-Final they are not voting in. worldwide via the live stream on the official YouTube channel of the contest, unless legal restrictions apply. Eurovision Song Contest 2024: Grand Final Live Stream (youtube.com) Music rights As always when playing music on events, you will need to seek a license from the local collecting organisation.

Also attending were a group of Eurovision fans and political representatives. The music group Nebulossa, representing Spain's entry for Eurovision 2024, and the Swedish Eurovision winner Charlotte Perrelli were honored guests.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Spanish state TV broadcaster RTVE, which filmed the event for the TV news, a morning program, and an entertainment program. Other collaborators included the record label Universal Music, as well as sponsors Volvo Cars, ABB, and Securitas.

On 6 April it’s also 50 years since ABBA took Europe by storm and won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo. A celebration of this is also included in the toolkit."
